THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

MET on the 5 December l997 as the 77th session, on occasion of the XXII World Congress of Vine and Wine in Buenos Aires at the invitation of the Government of the Argentine Republic,

EXPRESSES ITS GRATITUDE TO Engineer Felipe Carlos SOLA, secretary of State for Agriculture, Farming, Fishing and Food in Argentina for his presence and for the great interest he has shown in the activities of the O.I.V. and in the XXII World Conference of Vine and Wine;

COMPLIMENTS the President and the members of the Organising Committee on the quality and warmth of the  welcome extended to members of the congress, to delegates and those accompanying them, and on the quality of the organisation.

EXPRESSES gratitude to the professional Argentine sector for its role in the organisation of meetings and various common manifestations and would stress with pleasure the high quality of the wines presented and their appreciaiton by members of the congress and delegates.
