Description

Observations of Eutypa dieback (Eutypa lata) for several years on the same parcels during at least two stages: during flowering and the development of berries. Examination of the incidence of adult plants (10 and more years) which lead to sudden wilting of the vegetation with chlorotic alteration of the leaves on large interveinal spaces and necrosis, early leaf fall; drying out of the cordon; bunches with withering and drying of the rachis. 1 = High incidence for several years of symptomatic plants with drying wood on large portions of the cordon; shoots with very short internodes; small, deformed, and chlorotic leaves. 3 = Average incidence of symptomatic plants with partial summer vegetative recovery. 5 = Moderate incidence of symptomatic plants and symptom expression. 7 = Very low incidence of diseased plants. 9 = Absence of diseased plants.
