The OIV adopts a new definition of the oenologist and his/her role
OIV – 13/06/2013 - As part of the objectives assigned to the OIV, particularly that of helping to develop a training network relating to the field of vine and vine-based products, at the 11th General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine held in Bucharest on 7th June 2013, the definition of the oenologist and his/her role was approved by consensus by the 45 Member Countries.

Phthalates in wine and spirituous beverages: The OIV adopts new methods of analysis
OIV - 11/06/2013 - Following a proposal made by the "Methods of Analysis" Sub-commission, the official "Compendium of International Methods of Analysis of Wines and Musts" contains now two methods of determination of phthalates by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry in wines and spirit beverages.

Azerbaijan becomes the 45th Member State of the OIV
OIV -08/06/2013- During the 11th General Assembly of the OIV held at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, Azerbaijan saw its membership to the International Organisation of Vine and Wine formally accepted.
