Within the framework of developing its Strategic Plan, the OIV grants research scholarships in priority programme fields on a yearly basis. Grants offered within the framework of this programme are short term (six months to fifteen months maximum) and are provided for specific post graduate training programmes. Targeted candidates must be very qualified, with the desire to pursue their research, further knowledge and keep up on the latest progress made in their field of study and/or work.
(OIV-11/9/2014) – At the invitation of the Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Yair Shamir, the Director General of the OIV, Jean-Marie Aurand, spent four days in Israel, from 7 to 10 September, where he met with various authorities and professionals with responsibility for the vitiviniculture sector in Israel.

OIV (19/08/2014) Under the high patronage of the OIV, the 17th Mondial des Pinots competition was held on 14-17 August in Sierre, Valais (Switzerland). This competition, organised by the VINEA Association and VINOFED (the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions), has been a benchmark for years now thanks to its organisation, the quality of products represented and its international presence.
