37th World Congress of Vine and Wine Pictures
The purpose of this document is to recall and assemble in a single document some important elements of guidance from the OIV activities related to biotechnology in vitiviniculture. This study does not attempt to cover in detail all the issues and facts, but rather to contextualize the overall potential impact of the application of biotechnology in the wine sector.
OIV (22/06/2015) A stone’s throw from the exhibition “The Saga of the Thracian Kings, Archaeological Discoveries in Bulgaria” at the Louvre from 16 April 2015 to 20 July 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Bulgaria presented at OIV headquarters a selection of its oenological treasures, at a tasting organised by the Embassy.
OIV (18/06/2015) – At its 55th National Congress held at Cap d’Agde on 5 June 2015, the Union of French Oenologists organised a discussion on the oenologist’s contribution to value creation.
OIV (15/06/2015) – The second edition of SITEVINITECH CHINA was held in Yinchuan in the Autonomous Region of Ningxia from 10th to 12th June 2015 under the patronage of the OIV.
Bordeaux (OIV - 15/06/2015) - Opening the International Wines and Spirits Exhibition Vinexpo, in the presence of the Director General of the OIV, Mr. Jean-Marie Aurand, the President of the French Republic, Mr. François Hollande, impressed on his audience the global significance of trade in wine, recalling that 40% of wines consumed are imported wines.
