On 30th October in Paris, the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), the reference intergovernmental organisation for everything related to vine-based products, unveiled today its report on the 2012 global economic vitiviniculture situation.
Federico Castellucci, the Director General, presented the economic data available, which was used to produce an estimation of the development of the areas under vines, the level of world wine production and an initial estimation of world wine consumption.
